Dashboards & Exports
Dashboards and exports provide customizable views and data export capabilities to help different stakeholders access the insights they need.
Overview
The merchandising analytics dashboard is fully configurable, allowing you to create custom views for different roles and export data for further analysis. All dashboards and exports are accessible through the UI.
Configurable Dashboards
The analytics dashboard can be customized to show the metrics that matter to different stakeholders:
Customizing Your View
- Navigate to Analytics & Reporting → Search or Collections tab
- Click Customize View or Configure Dashboard
- Add metrics: Select which metrics to display
- Remove metrics: Hide metrics that aren't relevant
- Reorder metrics: Arrange metrics in the order you prefer
- Save view: Save your custom view for future use
Role-Based Views
Create different views for different roles:
- Executive view: High-level metrics like total revenue, conversion rate, top queries
- Merchant view: Detailed metrics like rule performance, pinned item impact, facet usage
- Analyst view: Deep-dive metrics like conversion funnels, revenue attribution, content analytics
Each view can be saved and shared with team members.
Data Export
Export analytics data from the console:
Exporting from Search or Collections Tab
- Navigate to Analytics & Reporting → Search tab (or Collections tab)
- Apply filters and date ranges as needed
- View the metrics you want to export
- Click the Export button
- Choose export format:
- CSV: For spreadsheet analysis
- JSON: For programmatic processing
- Other formats: Additional formats may be available
- Download the exported file
Export Options
When exporting, you can:
- Select metrics: Choose which metrics to include in the export
- Set date range: Export data for specific time periods
- Apply filters: Export filtered data (e.g., specific queries, collections)
- Include drill-down data: Export detailed data for specific queries or collections
Scheduled Exports
Set up scheduled exports for regular reporting:
- Navigate to Analytics & Reporting
- Click Scheduled Exports or Automated Reports
- Create new schedule:
- Select metrics to include
- Set frequency (daily, weekly, monthly)
- Choose recipients
- Set export format
- Save schedule: The system will automatically export and send data on the schedule
Accessing Data Programmatically
Via Analytics API
For programmatic access to analytics data, use the Analytics API. See the Ecommerce API tab for full API documentation.
The Analytics API allows you to: - Get analytics data programmatically - Integrate analytics into your own dashboards - Build custom reporting tools - Automate data collection and analysis
Best Practices
- Customize by role: Create views tailored to each stakeholder's needs
- Keep it simple: Don't overwhelm dashboards with too many metrics
- Update regularly: Review and update custom views as business needs change
- Use exports: Export data for deeper analysis in external tools
- Set up schedules: Automate regular exports for reporting
- Document metrics: Keep documentation of what each metric means for your team
